Studio Classes - Students training at the studio get together to practice performing for each other with a professional accompanist. Also an opportunity for duets and trios to form. Sundays from 5 - 7 pm. Tuition: $10 per singer, per class.

NATS Musical Theater Auditions - Competition put on by the Cascade Chapter of the National Assoc. of Teachers of Singing to provide a learning opportunity for singers in training. Singers perform three songs for a panel of three university-level voice teachers and receive written feedback. Some singers are selected for an Honors Recital at the close of the competition.

Christmas Open House/Recital – an informal gathering for friends and family of Cantare Voice Studio students. Singers present what they have worked on for the fall throughout the open house. Refreshments served.

Oregon Bach Festival Youth Choral Academy – The Academy runs during the Bach Festival (June – July), but the auditions are in the winter. Singers must be high school age, prepare a classical piece and download the rest of the audition materials from the OBFYCA web-site.

NATS Classical Auditions – Run by the local Cascade Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. These auditions are an opportunity to sing for the most prominent voice teachers in the area, from all the major Oregon universities. You must be recommended by a NATS Teacher. Students prepare three pieces to sing for three adjudicators. They receive written comments from the adjudicators and a winner is selected from each category. The winner receives a cash prize and sings in a recital.

Final Recital/Workshop – Every other Spring, Cantare Voice Studio puts on a formal recital, with a theme. The final recital is sometimes paired with a workshop featuring a Master teacher from a complimentary discipline, such as Alexander Technique, Acting Technique, Staging, etc.

Bodymapping for Musicians: A six hour workshop, certified by Andover Educators, on the structures of the body and their use in singing and playing instruments.
