Who is Elegant M?

Allan came from Colorado to Eugene.  In demand as a solo piano performer and composer, he played in five star resorts in Vail and Aspen, as well as cruise ships and venues around the world.  Allan was looking for musical satisfaction when he and Marieke met.  He wanted to create a group of players of the highest musical caliber.   He and Marieke began to explore their common jazz interests, put their charts together and meld their styles.

Marieke came from Los Angeles to Eugene.  An opera and classical singer and voice teacher by training, she also grew up with musical theater and classic jazz.  In 2005, she began performing jazz with local musicians and getting a feel for the freedom of the musical style.  Marieke continues  to perform classically - jazz songwriting and performance with Allan is her musical "downtime."

The ASH Trio is a utility band that plays dances, dinners, receptions, festivals, and club stages - always with a repertoire that fits, a volume that's right, virtuosic excitement, and a love of music and fun that connects with all music lovers!. ASH Trio combines with Elegant M for larger venues, dances, summer patio nights, etc.
